I had this problem with a book last year. I don’t know why I was trying to think of it, but I was and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. So I spent an ENTIRE DAY googling; I found it eventually. But I had to use every combination of key words for the search I could think of. I found lots of lists of random books, which is where I came across it in the end. That’s the best thing about booklovers – we love to keep lists of obscure books.
My advice is to google like you’ve never googled before! I found this website – maybe you could put a couple of posts up on there?

I was really hoping I’d know the title of one of the books you just described… I failed 🙁 I sometimes have little flashes of books I read in the past, but I don’t think I’ve ever tried to figure out what they’re called! I’ve just let them float around in the black hole that is my head. 🙂

This is definitely a disease we all suffer from. Unfortunately, I don’t know the titles of either of your books – though they both sound like something I’d like to read!!

This is such a struggle. I’ve had this happen before–Sometimes I discover the title. There is one from middle or elementary school that still drives me crazy: it’s Jurassic Park-esque, with dinosaurs on an island, and these two kids (I think) get lost in the jungle and have to make it back to the guy’s (who is their uncle, I think) house. And I have no idea.

I don’t know the titles of the books that you’ve listed there! 🙁
Hopefully you find out soon! :/
I don’t think title amnesia has ever happened to me…it’s more of the other way around – I tend to forget what happened in the book! xD
